Be still and know…

Know God for yourself. There are revelations, whispers and divine blueprints that God chooses to share with only you-not your pastor, your friends or even the spiritual leaders you admire. Just you. If we look at Mary, God spoke directly to her about her extraordinary calling to birth the Messiah(Luke 1:26-38,NKJV) . To Abraham, God revealed a promise that would shape generations(Genesis 17:7,NKJV) . Gideon heard God’s voice in a quiet, fearful moment when no one else was around (Judges 6:11-23, NKJV). This ancient method of speaking intimately to individuals remains true today. These are sacred moments of consecration, moments when God invites you to draw closer and hear His heart.Hearing destiny defining instructions happens in stillness, in alone moments of deep worship, praise and prayer not in the busy day to day activities or while you are out shopping with your girlfriends.

Psalms 46:10 (NKJV)

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

The challenge is that too many of us rely solely on others for spiritual insight. We wait for someone else to interpret God’s plan for us, forgetting that He desires to speak directly to us through His Word and the quiet moments we carve out for Him. We hesitate to pick up our Bibles, to sit in His presence, and to listen. But these one-on-one encounters with God are where the deepest revelations and assurances come and they are way better than any one-on-one with the most anointed man of God.

Don’t just wait for someone to reveal God’s blueprint for your life. Seek Him out, read, listen and know Him for yourself. What He has for you is unique and precious and He’s waiting for you to come close and hear it.
